President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in a sister car in 1961. The Continental is and has always been  the pride and joy of the Lincoln Division, the top of the line marque of The  Ford Motor Company. The Continentals, especially the convertibles, have been the “Dream Cars” of  the American Motor Car Industry.
