Fakat Amerikan halk\u0131n\u0131n g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc otomobile d\u00fc\u015fk\u00fcnl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc bilen Ford, biri Haziran 1964\u2019te haz\u0131r olabilecek \u00fc\u00e7 ayr\u0131 g\u00fc\u00e7te V8 motoru da se\u00e7enek olarak sat\u0131\u015fa sundu.   <\/p>\n<p>B\u00f6ylece Amerikal\u0131\u2019ya kazand\u0131r\u0131lmak istenen XK 120 Jaguar tarz\u0131na en yak\u0131n tasar\u0131m, k\u0131sa arkal\u0131, uzun burunlu, g\u00f6steri\u015fli ve \u015f\u0131k g\u00f6vdeli, g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc, k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck performans otomobili ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. Y\u0131ll\u0131k beklentisi 100,000 adet d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclen Mustang, ilk d\u00f6rt ayda 121,538 adet satt\u0131. 17 A\u011fustos 1964 tarihine kadar \u00fcretilen ve 1964 \u00bd olarak bilinen bu Mustang\u2019ler \u00f6nceki 65\u2019ler olarak tan\u0131mland\u0131. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc Ford 1964 \u00bd bir Mustang \u00fcretmedi. Sonraki 65\u2019ler ise 559,451 adet \u00fcretildi. B\u00f6ylece 1965 y\u0131l\u0131nda 680,989 adet Mustang \u00fcretildi. James Bond\u2019un \u201cGoldfinger\u201d ve Steve McQueen\u2019in \u201cBullitt\u201d filmlerinde y\u0131ld\u0131z olan, Ford\u2019un Model A\u2019dan bu yana halka en ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 sunumu olarak kabul edilen, \u201cMustang Mania\u201d yani \u00e7\u0131lg\u0131nl\u0131k derecesinde tutku yaratan otomobil olarak bilinen Mustang\u2019in m\u00fczemizdeki 289 V8 200 beygir g\u00fcc\u00fcndeki Challenger motorlu Convertible\u2019\u0131 Amerika\u2019da bir m\u00fczayedede sat\u0131n al\u0131narak, \u0130stanbul\u2019da d\u00f6\u015femeleri dahil ba\u015ftan a\u015fa\u011f\u0131 restore edildi. Ataman Ailesi i\u00e7in koleksiyonun g\u00f6zbebe\u011fi konumunda olup s\u0131k\u00e7a T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de rallilerde kullan\u0131ld\u0131 ve otomobil fuarlar\u0131nda sergilendi.
