B\u00f6ylece 300 SL \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. \u201c300\u201d ad\u0131n\u0131n motorun hacmini, \u201cSL\u201din ise \u201cSehr Leicht\u201d yani \u201cs\u00fcper hafif\u201d oldu\u011funu anlatan modele, g\u00f6vdeyi tasarlayan Franz Roller taraf\u0131ndan W 194 fabrika g\u00f6vde kodu verildi. Roller, ekibi ile o g\u00fcn\u00fcn aerodinamik \u015fartlar\u0131na uygun arabay\u0131 al\u00fcminyum g\u00f6vde ile tasarlad\u0131. Motor kapa\u011f\u0131n\u0131n y\u00fckseltilmemesi i\u00e7in 50 derece yat\u0131r\u0131lan 6 silindirli motorun, araban\u0131n ekseninden birka\u00e7 santim sa\u011f tarafa kayd\u0131r\u0131larak yerle\u015ftirilmesi de otomobilin dengesinin bozulmas\u0131na neden oldu. Kap\u0131 b\u00f6l\u00fcmlerine kadar d\u00f6\u015fenmi\u015f \u015fasi borular\u0131ndan dolay\u0131, kap\u0131lar\u0131n kanat \u015feklinde yukar\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131lmas\u0131 zorunlu oldu ve \u201cFl\u00fcgelt\u00fcren\u201d yani \u201cGullwing\/Mart\u0131 Kanat\u201d stili ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. 12 Mart 1952\u2019de ilk 300 SL bas\u0131n \u00f6n\u00fcnde, otoyolda test edildi. Yar\u0131\u015f performans\u0131 ve stili, Mercedes\u2019in Amerika\u2019ya standart bir model olarak 500-1,000 adet ithalat\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flad\u0131. B\u00f6ylece 300 SL\u2019in cadde versiyonu imalat\u0131na ge\u00e7ildi. Friedrich Geiger tasar\u0131m\u0131 300 SL, 1954 y\u0131l\u0131n\u0131n 6 \u015eubat\u2019\u0131nda W 198 g\u00f6vde kodu ile, k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck modeli 190 SL ile beraber, New York International Motor Sports Show\u2019da halka tan\u0131t\u0131ld\u0131 ve uzun alk\u0131\u015f ald\u0131. A\u011fustos ay\u0131nda da, Sindelfingen\u2019de Gullwing\u2019in \u00fcretimi ba\u015flad\u0131. G\u00f6vdesi \u00e7elik; motor kapa\u011f\u0131, kap\u0131lar ve bagaj kapa\u011f\u0131 al\u00fcminyum; standart rengi g\u00fcm\u00fc\u015f, se\u00e7enekleri siyah, k\u0131rm\u0131z\u0131 ve mavi olan 300 SL\u2019in yukar\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131lan kap\u0131s\u0131 \u015fehir i\u00e7i kullan\u0131mda rahats\u0131zl\u0131k verdi.            <\/p>\n<p>1957 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u00fcretimi durdurularak, yerine boru \u015fasisi modifiye edilmi\u015f, normal kap\u0131l\u0131 bir roadster tan\u0131t\u0131ld\u0131. 1955 y\u0131l\u0131nda 867 adet ve 1954-1957 y\u0131llar\u0131 aras\u0131nda da toplam 1,400 adet \u00fcretilen ve Almanya\u2019da 29,000 DM, Amerika\u2019da 7,500-9000 Dolar\u2019a sat\u0131lan bu efsane \u201cGullwing\u201d (Mart\u0131 Kanat) 300 SL Coupe, m\u00fczemizin en de\u011ferli klasik ara\u00e7lar\u0131ndan biri olup Florida\u2019da bir m\u00fczayedede sat\u0131n al\u0131nd\u0131.  <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div
